10/13/25 | NEW October THR Update- Please take time to read | |
| Greetings THR Listeners! As always I want to take a moment and thank everyone for their loyalty to THR and I hope everyone is still enjoying the daily/weekly tournaments. There have been a few questions regarding broadcasts. We are working on a product that will be groundbreaking. There is much going on behind the scenes and once we are happy with the final product it will be released. THR will be the go to brand for Poker information, education, interviews and live tournament broadcasts. So the answer is yes, we will have broadcasts as well as we know that is a great community event. As a timeline, I anticipate this happening at the close of Q4/beginning of Q1 2026. It will be a great way to kick off the new year. Stay tuned! Please continue to bear with us as we continue to make changes to the site to give you the best user experience possible. There will be brief moments during the construction phase where things don't look right. In an effort to not shut down the site during "construction", many of the changes and tweaks are done live. If something doesnt look correct for a moment, we know as we are making changes live. We will continue to modify the product until we are happy with finished product. Once complete be ready for the new THR! |

Wade Andrews (RadioWade online), was born with a microphone in his hand—well, almost. At just 15, he kicked off his radio career at WLCO in Eustis, Florida, spinning records and charming listeners with his natural flair. By the time he tossed his high school graduation cap in the air, Wade had already hopped between three different stations, proving he was a natural-born broadcaster with an itch for adventure.
In 1997, Wade took a bold leap into the future, broadcasting live from Gen Con in Denver—his first internet radio gig. A few months later, he was at it again, pushing the limits of tech at Gamma World in Wisconsin. That same year, he launched AustinNights.com, the first music streaming site, dreaming big before home internet speeds could catch up. The site fizzled out—dial-up was no match for his vision—but Wade wasn’t one to dwell on “oops” moments.
Undeterred, he kept blazing trails in internet broadcasting while still rocking the mic on traditional radio talk shows. By 2005, Wade’s passion for poker led him to launch TexasHoldemRadio, the world’s first 24/7 poker radio station. He wasn’t just hosting shows and broadcasting tournaments; he was also mentoring aspiring DJs, sharing his expertise with the next generation of broadcasters and lending a hand to others in the online poker scene.
These days, Wade’s traded the studio for the sandy shores of Daytona Beach, Florida. You’re more likely to spot him strolling along the coastline, maybe reflecting on his wild ride from teenage DJ to internet radio pioneer. But knowing Wade, he’s probably dreaming up his next big idea, just waiting for the world to catch up again.
About THR
Since its inception in early 2005, TexasHoldemRadio (THR)—alongside HoldemRadio—has been a pioneer in poker broadcasting. Founded by the visionary Wade Andrews, our journey began with radio shows on KJCE in Austin, Texas, before making history in March 2005 as the first network to bring poker programming to the online airwaves.
From those early days, we quickly became more than just a broadcast. Our interactive chat rooms gave players a place to share strategy, swap stories, and build community. Later that same year, we set another industry milestone by hosting the world’s first online poker tournament broadcast.
In 2006, we moved our broadcast home to Las Vegas—the heart of poker—and by 2007, we were live from the iconic Binion’s Poker Room in Downtown Las Vegas, delivering two and a half years of unforgettable coverage.
Although HoldemRadio was sold in 2011, THR never missed a beat. We continued to evolve, innovate, and remain the trusted voice of online poker.
A New Era with Bad Beat Enterprises
In 2025, Bad Beat Enterprises, LLC proudly acquired TexasHoldemRadio. With this next chapter, we reaffirm our mission:
