About THR
Howdy, poker fans! TexasHoldemRadio (THR) and HoldemRadio kicked off way back in February and March of 2005, both brought to life by the one and only Wade Andrews. It all started with our first broadcasts on KJCE in Austin, Texas, before we took a big leap and started simulcasting poker shows on the internet in March 2005—yep, we were the first to bring poker to the online airwaves!
Not long after, we spiced things up with a chat room on our sites, giving our community a place to talk cards, strategy, and probably a few jokes. Later that year, we made history again with the first-ever online poker tournament broadcast. In 2006, we packed up and moved our broadcast studio to the poker capital of the world—Las Vegas. By early 2007, we were set up in the legendary Binion’s Poker Room in Downtown Vegas, where we dealt out broadcasts for two and a half awesome years.
In 2011, HoldemRadio was sold, but TexasHoldemRadio, or THR as we’re known, kept the cards flying. Today, THR is still your go-to for live online poker tournaments, complete with a state-of-the-art chat room where our vibrant community hangs out. We’ve got free-to-play poker tournaments five nights a week, so there’s always a seat at the table for you. Come join the fun and be part of the THR Nation crew!
